3 Ps process review:
Personal:
Project 5 is a very important project from a personal perspective as it's the project that is addressing the need I have to become financially stable.
I have a need to be close to my daughter and spend as much time with her as possible. She lives in France and so I'm very keen to start doing more work in Europe and base myself in this continent as much as possible. I see project 5; -Setting up my business, creating a company and a website,- as an important stepping stone on the path to realising these goals.
Pr5 has been largely research based. Matt and I have been talking to consultant friends of ours and looking at the competition on the world wide web. Which in turn has led to us discussing and co-creating our, goals, consultancy process, fees & the beginnings of our website. It's been an enjoyable process so far and I envision it continuing to be so.
Professional:
This project has been and will continue to be highly beneficial in the context of my professional development. During the process of setting up our company I've spent a good deal of time scouring the internet, looking at the competition with a sometimes critical and sometimes appraising eye. I've been focusing in on the strengths and weaknesses, attempting to identify niches in the market and assessing the potential for possible collaborations.
I believe I've been honing my skills and developing my prowess in the realm of business (an area which has never been a strong point for me in the past).
Project:
I feel that PR5 is quite a strong project. Covering many areas with a great deal of (un)learnings along the way.
I think that the information in project 5 good be very useful for people in a similar position (those wanting to start there own consultancy/permaculture companies.
It was an enjoyable project and collaborating with Matt meant that we got to share and bounce ideas around between us, which helped a lot on a creative level & logistically, with each of us contributing in the areas in which we're strongest.
In one way the project felt a bit drawn out because it was during the middle of this project that we all decided to take a break from the diploma. Taking the break was helpful on some levels (I was definitely glad of a bit of a break to just not think about the diploma) but on the other hand it disrupted the flow a bit and it's taken me some time to get back into it again.
