Survey: Project 5; Business & Finance
This time I've decided to use the SADIMET design process to design this project.

website with a view to meeting my financial needs by doing the work that I love

Project FIVE Synopsis
This project is a collaboration between Matt
Prosser and Ben Murray.
We have been friends for many years and, over the
past few years, we have embarked on a parallel journey within the field of
permaculture, both of us with the main goal and intention of trying to make a
career out of permaculture by doing fulfilling, meaningful work, that is in line
with our ethics and provides us with a stable income.
We have already developed a fruitful working
relationship, working together on numerous projects and co-facilitating several
courses together.
This project has been brewing in our minds for
some time. It combines dreams, desires & needs. There's a mind map on the
Assess page, that gives a visual & shows the links. That’s the
way it is & what this project is born out of; a number of interlinked
elements. By its nature it is holistic design as stated in our goals.
So– we're going to outline the main points here
& the mind map is complementary to this.
Holistic-Regeneration
Its going to take time to get
Holistic-Regeneration off the ground, something that we will be working on for
years to come. It made sense to us to use the creation of this as a diploma
project & apply Permaculture design to the process.
We have decided to use SADIM(ET) with a synopsis
& goals as the starting point.
The main functions of this project:
Getting our collective needs, goals and
intentions clear & designing a website to promote course's & workshop's
+ small & medium sized consultancy jobs.
Address a need for:
Personal Finances (Stable & reasonably
consistent)
Ethical, interesting & fulfilling work
To further develop a productive, balanced &
healthy working relationship with each other.
We feel that its time for us to get in to all of
the above. Its definitely a challenge & its going to develop edges within
ourselves. There have been a number of signs & opportunities that have
encouraged us, making it clear that this is a path that will be beneficial for
us to pursue.
As with most of the projects (& the nature of
design). This project morphs & changes as we get more into it. New ideas
arise, places of interest shift & clarity is gained in certain areas.
The main point of this project is to attempt to
try & address finances & personal needs. So a reasonable, steady income
is gained through ethical, permaculture related work. In combination to progress
in the areas that we enjoy; Design work, facilitation, research &
consultation. As well as meeting the need for maintaining healthy relationships
that assist in balance which I believe leads to fulfillment & satisfaction.
Goals for Holistic regeneration:
To help fulfill my need to be earning a living through permaculture
and sustainable land use.
To create a professional website to:
Act as a platform to advertise our services; Consultation, Design
and courses.
To help get our name out to a wider
public
To promote the ethics, principles and ideals of permaculture as a
whole.
To be able to network amongst the wider permaculture,
sustainability, green movement more easily.
To help me fulfill my desire to spread my
time / work more evenly between Europe, Asia & Africa.
To help fulfill my need to be earning a living through permaculture
and sustainable land use.
To create a professional website to:

public
