The design process for this project is concerned with designing our whole lives: Looking at ways in which we can earn our living from permaculture related work. Some of the key aspects we'll be honing in on in this section involve; designing our company website, designing the consultation process.
Consultation fees and process:
The consultation process: (below outlined for a specific client)
Pre-visit:
We will need some details about the property, regarding the history of the land, the name of the
island and what your goals, needs, possible time-frame and budget are.
Its clear to us that two of your goals would be:
Develop an Eco
lodge.
Greening of the
island.
Offering the local fishermen an alternative source of income.
We would like to help you develop clear and comprehensive goals as it's an essential part of our
Permaculture design process.
On-site visit:
We will look around the property with you, assessing the land and various aspects like water, soil,
infrastructure and existing systems. We will help you identify areas of the
property that are of particular potential, like house sites, water harvesting
etc.
Consolidation of observations and information:
We will make a concept plan showing options and suggestions for further developing and
improving the property. We’ll discuss with you the observed limitations and
opportunities of the property in relation to your goals, needs, time and budget,
and will answer any questions you might have.
Fee's:
for my colleague and I to come and visit you at the property we would require 300$
per day + expenses.
